Common questions

Is Tamarind safe?
Tamarind uses FCA-regulated Open Banking rails — the same standard used by UK banks and authorised fintechs. We never store your banking credentials and never hold your money. Every payment must be approved by you in your own bank app.
Does Tamarind have access to my money?
No. Tamarind never touches your funds. When an AI proposes a payment, you approve it in your own bank app — the same way you'd approve any transfer. We operate as a payment initiation intermediary only.
How do I connect my AI assistant to my bank?
Sign up for early access. Once onboarded, you connect your UK bank once through regulated Open Banking. Your AI assistant then has structured, scoped access to your account information and can propose payments you approve.
Which banks and AI assistants are supported?
Tamarind supports UK banks through the Open Banking standard, covering all major high-street and challenger banks. We're designing for compatibility with ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI assistants. Specific coverage expands based on early access feedback.
